Line Art+Limited Color Palette or Black Line Art+Transparency (40-50 USD)
This is line art with a limited color palette (generally limited to three or less colors + black). While I will take suggestions for the colors it could possibly get, I would prefer to use my own judgment on how many colors, if any it will get. If the image contains no colors then the image background will be transparent unless I think the image will suffer for it. In that case the commissioner will receive both the non-transparent and the transparent one. I will draw a maximum of two characters and the second character will cost extra (10-20 USD depending on detail).
Painting+Simple Background (80-100 USD)
This is me painting a picture for you. Please note that I will not draw complex backgrounds at this moment in time. These paintings will either be of a character on an abstract, painterly background; a solid color background; or a transparent background. When it comes to the colors, I will use my best judgement and whichever coloring style I think will do the character justice. However the commissioner is allowed to request a certain style (In a nutshell: normal colors and weird ones). Like the style above I will only draw a maximum of two characters with the second costing extra (20-40 USD).
Type C (Coming Soon):
Painting+Complex Background (140-180 USD)
Type D (Coming Soon):
Black and White Sketch (15-20 USD)
To request a commission from me:
- Send me a note titled "Commission" and the type of commission you are requesting. The title will either be "Commission - Type A" or "Commission - Type B". This will help me sort out your note faster and prioritize it from other notes.
- In the body of the note send me a description of the character(s) in question and images of the character(s). The more references the better. For example, I would have an easier time drawing a character in a badass pose if I knew how they looked from the front, side and back as opposed to a character sent to me with only a front ref. This would also be an opportune time to describe the mood of the image and maybe even some key characteristics of the character especially if it is one I am unfamiliar with. Also tell me the style that you would like the image in and a preferred style if you have any and then I will reply with the price of the image. I will oblige to requests such as certain poses and requirements however I would prefer freedom in those areas.
- Once you agree to the final price you will then pay me in full (no exceptions) and I will give you a date to expect the completed image by. I will not start the picture until I receive the money. Type A images will have the faster turnaround time. I will then finish the image and send you the full resolution file via sta.sh or google drive. The file you will receive will be 8.5x11 or larger, 300 dpi and CMYK (this can be converted to RGB on request)
- Keep in mind that right now I will only take two commissions at any one time to ensure that the commissions get the fullest of my attention and the slots will be filled by the first people to pay.
Why/How did you choose these prices?
I consider my time very valuable and I want my potential commissioner to be just invested in the piece in question as I am. I do not want to spend countless hours of my free time drawing a picture for someone who just wanted some cheap publicity or a cheap picture that they'll forget about in a day's time while moving on to the next artist. I also do not want to be swamped with commissions because people are taking advantage of cheap prices and nothing more. I want to attract people who genuinely want my art or like my style enough to pay for it. There is a difference in not being able to afford the commission and thinking I charge too much. Seeing as it is my time and effort being spent creating the art I think I should get to put the price on that work and time and for those who want my art but can't afford it, the prices are somewhat negotiable. If you can name a price range I will try to find a way to make it work where we can both leave the deal happy. No guarantees but I will listen and if possible try my best to find alternatives.
What will you draw?
I will draw almost anything. However, I reserve the right to decline the commission if I do not think that I can do the character justice. Do not take it personally, I just want to make sure that the commission is worth the money spent and is not something I just churned out without any feeling or in any insufficient way. This means that if I do not think I have the proper skills or experience to take on the task or subject matter, I will decline the commission and maybe refer you to someone who may do the job better then me.
I reserve the right to use the image commissioned as a portfolio piece and to upload the image to deviantart, pixiv, anipan and/or tumblr. If you do not wish for me to share the image on any of these sites then you may have to pay extra for the commission. If I upload the piece, you will be credited for the character if they belong to you and regardless of whether the character belongs to you, a link to a page of your choosing will featured in the artist comments (unless you wish to remain anonymous). You are also allowed to upload the piece to your own personal gallery as long as I am credited in some way. You cannot commercially sell the piece without talking to me first. That may cost extra depending on the circumstance.
